Ideal for Frozen Vegetables, Fresh Produce, Fish & Seafood, Meats, and Poultry, the Micro Steam Pouch uses the natural water content found in these foods to steam cook in the microwave. The pouches zip close, and allow for breathable, self-venting of excess steam, while at the same time allowing food to retain more natural flavours, texture, and nutritional value. The result is reduced cooking time, saving both energy and money. With common products and cook times printed directly on the pouch, foods are quickly cooked and ready to be served.
How it works:
When heated in a microwave oven, steam is produced from the natural water content in the food to cook from the inside out. As steam exits the food, it is captured inside of the pouch and acts as a flexible pressure cooker which in turn also cooks the food from the outside in.
